RAINBOW MOUNTAIN PALCOYO TRIP

Rainbow Mountain , in Palcoyo (4700m, 15419,95 Ft) an easy new day trip on horse or walking instead of 5040 m, located at the same place, the other end of Vinicunca and less crowded at all, one more chance to see the three rainbow hills in Palcoyo, Rainbow Mountain  a day trip from Cusco that will satisfy the most demanding and get unforgettable memories as sumptuous panoramas of the high and colorful mountains of Palcoyo , formidable red mountains surrounding the famous Ausangate mountain ranges, peaceful pastoral scenes of the herds of spangled and alpacas kept on by Andeans with multi-coloured clothing.

ITINERARY

DAY 1.- CUSCO/CHECACUPE/PALCOYO/CUSCO

We leave Cusco early in the morning 06:30 am from your Hotel after the breakfast, adjust to its altitude, our vehicle drive us 3 hours and a half by exploring through the Vilcanota Valley, small villages, colonial church, then a short drive from here takes us to Checacupe and Sicuani, our beggin point where we manned by Quechua-speaking Inca descendants, after a short break , our hiking continued 1 hour and half toward the three rainbow mountains of Palcoyo, we set off to explore the area. This is a perfect opportunity to stop for photos and a snacks. From here, we returning again 1 hour and a half on to Checacupe for our lunch spot, then to continue to Cusco, arriving at 17 hours
