CUSCO CLASSIC ,SACRED VALLEY AND THE SHORT INCATRAIL KM104 6 DAYS (PAP 2017)
Day 1: Cusco city and Sacsayhuaman tour!
We pick you up from the airport followed by transfer in a private car to your selected hotel in the morning to relax and then after lunch around 1pm we have a city tour.
We will visit the following places:
THE CATHEDRAL It was built in the XVI century has a baroque style, with a beautiful altar and a lot of wonderful paintings.QORICANCHA.-This is the site of the Inca temples of the sun, moon and lightning which was discovered under the Santo Domingo Church in the earthquake of 1952. SACSAYHUAMAN Is a masterpiece of engineering and the site of the first rebellion against the Spanish. QENQO Located near Sacsayhuaman, is thought to have been a ceremonial center of great importance in Inca religion and had a very important role at that time. PUCA PUCARA This tambo is built in a more rustic style and would have been used to rest by “chasquis” the famous Inca runners. TAMBOMACHAY Located 8 km from the city of the Cusco, this temple of the water demonstrates a high quality of Inca stonework.We will arrive back in Cusco at about 6.30pm.

Day 2: Sacred Valley tour–Cusco-Pisac-Ollantaytambo Cusco
On this one day tour we will visit a number of traditional town in this fertile valley. The valley was known as the sacred valley because it provided the food for the Incas in Cusco and Machu Picchu. Lying at an altitude of between 2700m and 2900m it provides an ideal way to acclimatise gently on arrival to Cusco.
ITINERARY: We will pick you up from your hotel at 8.30am and drive for 1 hour in our comfortable bus to PISAQ: We visit the Inca remains perched above the town walking one and a half hours before descending in the bus and exploring the town’s famous market.LUNCH: we take lunch at one of our favourite restaurants in the Sacred Valley( optional).OLLANTAYTAMBO: We visit this traditional town known as “the living Inca city”. People live today in the houses and narrow streets built by the Incas with many still taking their water from the water channels that run through the town. We will take a guided tour of the Inca fortress which dominates the town, keeping watch over the sacred valley and hear about one of the greatest love stories of Inca times which took place here.
CHINCHEROS: We stop to explore the colonial church and visit the Inca palace of Tupac Yupanqui. We have a last chance to buy handicrafts in the market with its beautiful views of the Vilcanota Mountains before returning to our bus for the 45 min drive back to Cusco arriving around 6:30 pm.

Day 3 Maras moray tour – Aguas Calientes
Maras – Moray – Salineras
This trip combines beautiful colonial towns with spectacular Inca sites
ITINERARY : We will pick you up from your hotel at 8.00am and drive for 1 hour in our comfortable bus to MARAS: Located to the west of the Cusco this town has many beautiful examples of colonial architecture hidden in its quiet streets. We will also have spectacular views across to the Vilcanota range of mountains.
MORAY: We then drive another 15 minutes to this unique site. Natural depressions have been terraced by the Incas and used to make a kind of experimental greenhouse. The temperature gradient thus created was used to ascertain what type of crops could grow in different locations.
SALINERAS: or “salt mines” The natural salt in the rocks is filtered out by the use of small salt pans and allowed to dry then after the tour we continue our journey to Ollantaytambo train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon where we meet with the other people from our group who are hiking the inca trail.

Day 4 SHORT INCA TRAIL
Cusco / Km104 / Wiñay Wayna / Machu Picchu / Aguas Calientes:
After an early transfer from your hotel to Ollantaytambo train station a spectacular train ride takes us to KM104 and the start of our trail. We start by visiting the Chachabamba archaeological complex before three hours walk uphill to Wiñay Wayna another beautiful archaeological complex. We will have lunch here before walking a further hour to the Sun Gate where we will have our first spectacular view of Machu Picchu. From here it is just 30 mins more until we are among the ruins of Machu Picchu and we then take a 30 mins bus ride bus down to the town Aguas Calientes where we will stay the night in a hotel and also meet with the other from our your groups who are taking the train to Aguas Calientes.

Day 5: MACHUPICCHU- OLLANTA- CUSCO
Early breakfast at the Hotel. Then we are ready to board the bus to Machupicchu and arrive at the entrance when the gates of this Sanctuary is open (please have your passport on hand). Guided tour of Machupicchu City before the crowds arrive and the site is full of people, it takes approx 2 – 2.5 Hrs and leads you through all the most important areas ,miradors, temples, residences, best spots and all archaeological sites with the insights of very capable guides. After our interesting tour you have plenty of time for more exploration in your own, time to do the Huayna Picchu climb then later you make your way back on the bus to Aguas Calientes in time for some lunch before boarding the afternoon train back to Cusco.
Climbing to Huayna Picchu mountain (1.5 -2 Hrs), if you are booking for high season and Huayna Picchu permits have already run out then we can offer permits for the Montana Machu Picchu climb. $70 extra cost per person
in the afternoon return by train to Cusco Station or Ollantaytambo and transfer to your hotel in town.

Day 6: CUSCO – lima. Bye bye Cusco…!
It depends your flight, we pick you up 2 hours earlier than your flight’s departure from your hotel and take you to the airport in Cusco. END OF OUR SERVICE!
